Candid Comments: “Slow Your Roll, Muchacho”
You ever watch a man sprint before he stretches?
That’s what I saw when Muchacho dropped his Round Two: Draft Era column.
The mask was shining, the sombrero was spinning, the ambition was sprinting.
But the workflow? Limping.
Don’t get me wrong — I like the draft idea.
It’s smart. It’s collaborative. It’s the first time someone turned a debate into a blueprint.
But ten federations each? That’s still a mountain.
Five? Now we’re talking. Maybe.
🧩 Reality Check: The Math of Ambition
Let’s do the math.
Two columnists. Five federations each. Ten total.
That’s depth without burnout.
That’s sustainable coverage.
That’s a newsroom that breathes.
Other writers can pick from the directory.
That’s realistic.
Most will only choose one to three — usually including their own.
Because let’s be honest: builders build, promoters promote, match writers write, roleplayers roleplay.
Who’s got time after all that to read every show, follow every storyline, and track every champion across fifty worlds?
Everything sounds unprecedented until you look at the workflow.
Then you realize what gets sacrificed to pull it off — sleep, focus, consistency.
And you have to ask: will it be worth it?
⚙️ The Workflow Truth
The e‑wrestling scene runs on passion, not payroll.
Every federation is a small business powered by caffeine and chaos.
You want to expand coverage? Great.
But expansion eats time.
And time is the one currency we can’t print more of.
If we keep the draft idea but trim the scale, we get something sustainable... in theory.
We get a newsroom that reflects reality, not fantasy.
We get a system where coverage grows organically instead of collapsing under its own weight.
That’s not slowing down the dream.
That’s building it to last.
🧠 The Incentive Equation
Writers write because they love the craft.
Promoters promote because they love the spotlight.
Roleplayers roleplay because they love the story.
But reading other shows? Tracking other champions?
That’s work without reward unless the system gives them one.
So here’s the incentive structure that actually works:
- Columnists cover five federations each.
- Federation owners get visibility through those columns.
- New contributors pick one to three feds — including their own — to spotlight.
- Readers get clarity instead of chaos.
That’s how you turn a dream into a workflow.
🏁 The Road Ahead
Muchacho’s energy is infectious.
His sombrero deserves its own zip code.
But even he knows deep down that the scene doesn’t need fifty federations covered overnight.
It needs ten covered well.
Then maybe fifteen.
Then maybe twenty.
Then maybe fifty — when the infrastructure can handle it.
So, slow your roll, Muchacho.
Keep the draft.
Cut the scale.
Let the scene breathe.
Because the road less traveled isn’t about going slower.
It’s about going smarter.
Instead of dropping the mic, pay me my 20 bucks.
Don't tell us what you want to do... show us. I mean actually show us.
Then others may come on board.
Maybe...
Just maybe.
