Jesse Hand
Posted on June 25, 2025
From 2013.
Jesse is the first person to request an interview through our new system, and boy does it make me wish I’d done this earlier! On top of that he;s an overall swell guy and a blast to get on your radio show if you have one. So sit back, and enjoy the Jesse hand interview.
OK, thanks for agreeing to spend some time with me today Lets go ahead and begin. For those who may not be sure, who are you and what may they have known you from in eWrestling?
I am Jesse Styles or real name Jesse Hand yes Hand *let’s the jokes pop in everyone’s heads*.
I am a 29 year old married male with three children all boys. Also I am a mechanic tis what I do for a living. As for what I might be known for in eWrestling well being the Owner of New Edge Wrestling for over five years now would be the top thing off the top of my head.
How did you first discover eWrestling? Tell us that story.
Had just turned 14 and was roaming around AOL chat rooms and came across a email rp fed recruitment chat for wwe fantasy wrestling rpers. The rest is kind of history it was during the attitude era when wrestling was at it’s all time high level and I ended up running my own email rp fed for six years plus role playing in a few others as well. Then I closed the doors went onto just being a RPer for a while and eventually starting New Edge Wrestling which has been my pride and joy.
What are some other notable, or not so notable, eFeds that you have been in over the years that you can think of?
Well I was apart of a few feds recently on the fedwars.net site until that went to well crap lol. Also back in the gfedwrestling.com days I was apart of a few big feds like PCW,TEW and LCW. As for the efedding scene haven’t ventured out much do to how busy NEW keeps me.
What are some other notable or not so notable characters you have handled, if any?
Chris Styles coked out younger brother of Jesse Styles. My more accidental funny and crazy side of the real me. Sting yes you heard me Sting back in 98-2000 also a character named Yellow Man a Chinese American wrestler who well used the fact of his messed up heritage to every extent he could.
When did you decide to jump from RPing to being a fed head and how was the transition?
Actually it didn’t take me long at all about a year into rping. So I was running a fed at the age of like fifteen in a half. The transition for me was well exciting at the time because fedding was so big then even email feds. It was back during the attitude and nwo/wcw era’s which made getting members well not to difficult. Only real diffcult parts where learning my craft but I had a guy named madmike28 who became my VP and helped school me in the ways of running a fed he basically broke me in when it comes to being an owner. The only downside of the transition was sitting in AOL recruitment chat rooms for hours at a time my goodness I couldn’t do that now lol.
How long did your first attempt last?
The WCF it actually last off and on till I was let me see around 22 so almost seven years. Sure there where like four breaks in between but yeah. Had a great group of people there and well most of them are long retired now.+
With your time in the hobby, have you ever brought in someone new? Maybe a friend, a cousin, a girlfriend even?
My wife she is currently in the game known as Scarlet her real name is Kristina. Also for a brief time my best friend Matt during my first few years in this game but he just well sucked.
If you could hang out with anyone else you’ve met in the hobby who would it be and why?
Johnny Stylez aka Jason, Hazard aka Steve , Nocturnal aka Martin, Kronin and Valora aka Rob and Amanda.
The first two because I had fedded with them off and on for fifteen plus years.
Nocturnal because I have known him around five years now and hes quite the interesting dude we have had many convo’s over skype.
Amanda and Rob because well for they only live like 2 hours from me and for two a cool couple for me and my wife to hang out with once in a while no doubt because there good people.
I could go on and on with this list but to keep it short I’ll stop there. The rest know who they are or well they should lol.
In your time in eWrestling, who are some other of your favorite people, that you have worked with?
Ryan Pugh, Triple X, Hazard, Johnny Stylez, Nocturnal, Al Envy, Matt Slater, Vanessa/Cera, Seth Iser, King of Pain, Psycho, Judas Dathan and Inkt.
Are there any handlers that you have never had the chance to work with that you wish you could?
Cj Gates, Jon Tess, Intrepid, Dorling, Kurt Noble,
Terry Marvin, Deathstroke, James Anderson, General Koz, Dave Mcdave and the list could go on and on.
How about handlers/characters that have rubbed you the wrong way? Anyone you just cant stand?
Ian Monks, Marcus Williams, Mike Park are my big three.
Of the three names you mentioned above that have rubbed you the wrong way, is there anything you can think of that could be done to repair that relationship?
Not really all three just love to cause drama and act like ass clowns. Maybe smack Ian Monks across his big nose it might help me feel better.
For those who don’t know Monks is one of the owners of Efed Knights as for the other two well nether are important enough to really go into detail on lol.
You mention Efed Knights a few times in the interview, what was the experience you had with them and what would you tell potential fed heads who see EFK as a place to promote their eFed?
Sigh oh this could open up a can of worms here but okay. Well I put my fed into EFK back in the beginning of 2011 and everything was smooth for a bit. But, then Ian Monks and Russ hosted this tournament EFK tourney can’t remember the exact name.
Needless to say they never posted any guidelines or anything else about what they look for in role plays but a hand ful of my people entered including my self and well none of us did well in fact we didn’t win jack crap.
Now where we upset about this no we where a bit irritated because no one would give any of us answers as to why we where losing. In fact we would get our shit jumped by the elitist people there for even asking.
So one day I was hosting an NEW radio show on talk shoe and one of my fedders Al Envy asked in public in there shout box why he had lost and then they all just ganged up on him and acted like jack asses.
The worst thing about it was NEW is like a family most of us and we where legit doing a radio show at the time so I reacted in a well bad manner live on the air to seeing this.
A flame war insured from them bullying one lone member of mine to me on the radio and even giving them the link in there shout box. I really let them have it and they in return let us have it on there podcast.
Banned us, named me cunt of the year and Al Envy worst rper of the year which is whatever.
During that flame war Russ who isn’t a bad guy just follows the sheep of Ian Monks, Triple B, Duckaman and all of them. Anyways finally Russ said it was because we hadn’t been following storylines. Which to this day makes no since to me but if we had been told that from the beginning there would of never been a flame war. Then again if they hadn’t acted like a bunch of damned bullies in there shout box there would of never been a flame war.
I can’t stand elitist bullying just cant.
As for advice for future feds.
Well Ian Monks said it best recently there not really an ewrestling site anymore more of a games thing now. So I would suggest people obviously use better resources like ewscene or even Roughkut. Because, Efedknights has its group and are happy with there tight little group.
What are some of your favorite angles or storylines that you have been involved with?
Owner of NEW so yeah I have created and been involved in so many it’s hard to think of just a few to be honest.
Is there anything you’ve done that you look back on and wonder why you did it in the first place?
Ever sign New Edge members and my self up for an Efed Knights tournament. Ever let Roughkut do a drunk review on NEW.
Are there any other eFeds or sites you keep up with, and if so what interest you about them?
Ewscene, Roughkut, UWL and WCF those are the main sites. The first two are because NEW EDGE advertises there and participates there especially Ewscene great place. The other two are because I am fans of the feds if I was to ever go rp somewhere out of my realm again it would be one of those two.
OK, here is your time to shill. For those who do not know, what is the URL to New Edge Wrestling? Also, what is currently going down and is there anything big coming in the future we should watch out for?
It’s http://edgewrestling.webs.com/
As for what’s currently going down well actually something I am very proud of is going on this week in fact.nIt’s a pay per view called Justice 5. Justice was NEW’s very first ppv back in early 2009 and here we are now to number five. It’s become pretty much our wrestlemania to be honest and it kind of signals the end of one cycle year and the beginning of a new pun intended. So many big matches, so many scores to be settled and such great builds going in it’s just an exciting time for NEW EDGE this week and beyond.
We have planned out me and my staff the next two months of pay per views in certain areas and even have a couple huge storylines coming up this summer that will be what we call fed wide storylines. Basically stuff that the entire fed can use. Every year I tell my self okay if I make it to Justice I am happy and well once again we made it Justice and now so it begins again making it to the following Justice and beyond.
The thing about New Edge is we might do things not your normal promo way or even the way everyone would love results to be but it’s our way. A way we as a communitity enjoy and have evolved and molded it into over the past five years.
It trully is New Edge Wrestling where we are always on the edge of something New. A little cheesy I know but it rings true for New Edge.
New Edge is currently in the FedWars interfed. What are your thoughts so far? Would you recommend fed heads at least check it out?
My thoughts Ben is cool and Tom is an ass
No, but seriously, I like it I really wanna see this thing flourish and I for sure would recommend it to other fed heads to check out. It doesn’t require a ton of effort on the fed head’s part at all and it’s a fun envirement to be apart of. Notice the word there FUN not something you get in other “Inner circles”.
At the end of the day I look at it as one of my babies as well because NEW was one of the first feds to sign up and I trully believe in this concept and will do whatever I can to help make it work. So no question check it out and just talk to Ben for christ sakes for a little bit after you do that will be more then enough to atleast interest you in the idea in my opinion.
Well, we’ve touched on a lot of things today and I appreciate your time. Before we go, is there anything else you would like to say to the readers?
Not a whole lot honestly I guess being twenty nine years old and having been in this game for over fifteen years only thing I really wanna say would be THANK YOU. Thank you to everyone who has been in a fed with me, helped me run one of my feds, rped in one of my feds, wrote matches for one of my feds. Also thank you to the haters out there because all you have ever done in truth is motivate me to be a better owner and a better fedder.
Last but not least thanks to Ben for allowing me this interview.
